Melissa Pepe
A graphic designer in Las Vegas
About the Artist:
My name is Melissa Pepe but sometimes I also go by Missy or MissMissy. I was recently married to my high school sweetheart after fifteen years of dating. My maiden name was Melissa Smith. I am currently 31 years old. I studied graphic design in my magnet high school Advanced Technologies Academy or Atech for short and received an Associates Degree in Computer Graphic Design from the College of Southern Nevada. I am currently returning to school at UNLV to continue studying Computer Graphic Design to obtain a bachelor’s degree. I will graduate Fall 2020. I use digital media for some of my art such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. I also use traditional mediums such as colored pencil and water color.
My interest in art began at an early age. My mother reminds me of using a broken mouse on our old Mac computer using Freehand and KidsWorks. I started my paper doll blog in 2012 to share my collection and my artwork. I currently working at a library where I’ve been employed for 10 years now and work on art in my free time. I enjoy creating characters, illustrations, costume design, logos, and posters. I am learning motion graphics and love creating dress up games but I’m still new at programing them.
